Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday announced the elevation of bilateral relations by agreeing to build a China-Bangladesh community with a shared future in the new era during Rahman’s official visit to China.
President Xi reaffirmed China’s support for Bangladesh’s sovereignty and development, pledging to expand cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative in areas including trade, infrastructure, digital technology, artificial intelligence, green energy, healthcare, and education.
Rahman described China as Bangladesh’s trusted partner, reaffirmed Dhaka’s commitment to the One-China policy, and expressed support for closer economic cooperation and coordination on regional and global issues.
Both leaders also agreed to strengthen collaboration through the United Nations and other multilateral platforms while promoting regional connectivity and development.
