Kolkata: Four Nepali mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters will compete in the second edition of the Elite Contender Series (ECS II) in Kolkata, India, on Saturday.
Lock n Roll MMA fighters Asbeen Chhetri, Gokul Khadka, and Nabaraj Parajuli, along with Sunil Pun from Pokhara, will represent Nepal in the event. Pun will face India’s Devgun Marandi in the co-main event, while Chhetri and Khadka also take on Indian opponents. Parajuli’s opponent is yet to be announced.
The event, featuring 50 amateur MMA bouts across two cages, follows Friday’s official weigh-ins at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre. Nepali fighters are aiming for stronger performances after a mixed outing in the inaugural ECS event earlier this year.
