Chitwan: Newly re-elected President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has said the party’s first national general convention has established the RSP as a credible and mature political force in Nepal.
Speaking after taking the oath of office and secrecy administered by RSP Central Election Commission Chief Bhuwan KC on Friday, Lamichhane pledged to lead the party with responsibility and dedication toward nation-building.
He said the convention had given the party both legal and political legitimacy, marking an important milestone in its organisational development. Acknowledging shortcomings during the event, Lamichhane admitted there were technical and managerial weaknesses in conducting the convention.
“As this was our first general convention, there were some management challenges. We accept those shortcomings and are committed to learning from them and improving in the future,” he said.
Lamichhane also announced that the oath-taking ceremony for the party’s newly elected office bearers and central committee members will be held at the RSP’s central office.
